Multiple locations

Every office. A clear way in.

A real office has its own people, practices and contact route. Give each location the details it needs, with one coordinated plan across the firm.

One firm plan. Specific office work.

One coordinated program can cover the firm, while each real office needs its own factual record and local priorities. Three offices are not automatically three identical scopes of work.

Assess each office’s page, eligible Business Profile, listings, review workflow, relevant local references and measured visibility. Use a common brand and reporting method, with the actual geography, practice and intake needs of each office guiding the work.

Let the index guide. Let the office explain.

An office directory page is a useful way to help someone choose a location. It can link to a more detailed page where the people, practices, directions or contact route need their own explanation.

A single main-office profile cannot stand in for every eligible branch. Assess the real locations individually; do not imply that a profile description creates a presence in each city or that every branch is entitled to a separate profile.

Connect the office index, useful location pages and eligible profiles. Keep the destination and phone route clear so a reader reaches the intended team.

Office pages with something to say.

What goes on each location page?

Place + peoplePractice + contactDetails a visitor can actually use.

Use a stable location-page address, such as /locations/[city]/, with navigation that makes the office easy to find. Choose the URL around the real location rather than creating a new page for every neighborhood keyword.

Publish details that help someone use that office. Replacing city names in the same copy does not add that value. Geo landing pages explains when a genuine service-area page has a separate job.

  • The basics

The real address, relevant hours or appointment process, directions, accessibility and a working contact route.

  • The people

The attorneys and team actually associated with the office, with accurate roles and qualifications.

  • The practices

The matters actually handled there and useful links to the appropriate practice information.

  • What makes it different

Local procedures reviewed by the attorney, practical office information and relevant experience that can be described lawfully. Confidentiality and applicable rules govern any past-matter reference or specialization claim.

Eligibility comes before the pin.

Check each location against Business Profile eligibility before proposing a profile. A mailing-only virtual address is ineligible. A co-working office has specific signage, customer-reception and staffing conditions; practitioner profiles have separate requirements.

Use accurate office photographs and useful local information. Represent a service area only where the business model and Google’s rules support it; setting an area does not create a physical office there.

Retain primary control with an authorized firm owner and delegate management through platform roles. Verification methods and approval are controlled by Google, so access or a submission is not proof of a verified profile.

Real office

Check the actual operation, signage, customer contact and applicable location or practitioner rules before proposing a profile.

City the firm serves

A useful service-area page may explain genuine service. It must not imply a physical office or create a profile without eligibility.

Mailing-only address

A rented address without an operating office is not eligible for a location profile. Keep any published address description accurate.

The right experience. The right profile.

Record the office associated with the experience before choosing any profile link. A review request should be optional, neutral and consistent with the platform’s policy and the attorney-approved workflow.

Coordinate the office association with your team and intake support. Do not publish case-management details in a request or reply, reward a review, or filter requests by expected sentiment. Check data access and exceptions before relying on automation.

Consistency, office by office.

Maintain an approved record for each office: true name, actual address, working contact number and relevant website destination. A former office or wrong phone matters; harmless publisher formatting differences can be recorded without treating them as a different business.

Recheck affected profiles and listings after moves or phone changes. NAP consistency covers the correction process, and technical SEO covers accurate structured information and crawlable office pages. Schema does not guarantee how Google will display an office.

See the office. See the whole firm.

Scope the work from the real offices, their existing information, eligibility and operational needs. Shared processes keep the firm coordinated; office-specific facts and tasks remain individually checked.

Report office activity and a firm-level view with a defined attribution method. Disclose unattributed inquiries and avoid counting the same inquiry twice across offices. Consultations and signed cases depend on available intake records. The wider plan is on Google Maps and local SEO.

Before you make the plan.

?Can someone reach the intended team?
Should every office have its own phone number?

Use a working number controlled by the firm that connects to the intended location. Google prefers a local number where possible. A distinct number can aid routing and attribution, but the published contact route must remain accurate.

Can we add a profile for an office we use by appointment only?

Appointment-only operation is not automatically disqualifying. Review the real operation and the applicable location or practitioner rules; do not assume a rented mailing address becomes eligible because appointments can be booked.

Can one person manage all our profiles?

An authorized owner can coordinate management across eligible locations and delegate platform roles. The firm should retain primary control, and any verification or access issue is recorded separately.

Do all offices need the same practice pages?

No. Each office page should reflect the matters actually handled there, and link to relevant practice information without implying unsupported services.
